Paul Beauchamp

Arriving from the base of the Appalachian Mountains, now residing at the base of the Italian Alps in Turin, Italy, Paul Beauchamp is an experimental musician focusing principally on drones and textures using a wide range of electronic equipment in addition to acoustic instruments including harmonica and musical saw.Today based in Turin, Italy and besides his own projects working at the O.F.F. Studio. Besides his solo work, some of his other contributions are with Italian partner Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo (Larsen) and cellist Julia Kent as Blind Cave Salamander and again with Fabrizio releasing sometimes under their own names and a notable release with Einstürzende Neubauten guitarist Jochen Arbeit. And with Fabrizio again in Almagest! along with Ernesto Tomasini and Trevor. Another project of note was with French industrial trio Sikhara with Paul, Scott Nydegger and Yann Geoffriaud who have collaborated with the likes of Z’ev and Bastard Noise. Paul’s concept of instrumentation stems from believing that the studio should be considered an instrument in of itself. In October 2022, Paul released Wander, a single movement of music available now on Erototox Decodings.
