Cotton Ferox’ “Defragmental” (etd0002) CD is a collection of unreleased tracks,
remixes and contributions to compilations.
The Swedish duo of Carl Abrahamsson and Thomas Tibert already created groundbreaking music together in White Stains (1987-1994). After a six-year break they started producing again in 2000 and have since made two albums, ”First Time Hurts” (2002) and “Wordship” (2004, with
Genesis P-Orridge). They have also created a number of tracks for
compilations, films and installations. This album presents a
spectacular overview of the lesser known work of Sweden’s finest
experimental musicians.
Noteable info about this CD: There are four re-mixes of the song
“Phantasmoplasm” (from their first album), all by highly renowned
Swedish DJs and producers. The Norwegian cult noise duo Fe-mail have
created a strong remix of “Deep in the night” (also from the first
album). There are also two different cooperations with Genesis P-
Orridge, one 7″ released on Important Records and one track for a
Czech compilation.
